At Maverest, our focus is on building and managing a network to establish lasting partnerships with dentists, employers and insurance companies.

We focus on our partnerships while delivering claims solutions that are unique to the insurance industry.

We understand that when faced with higher costs for health benefits, dental coverage is the first to be eliminated. Yet dental care is a critical aspect of maintaining healthy employees and their families. Maverest Dental Partners (MDP) is not an insurance company or third party administrator but rather a cost effective method of controlling dental claim costs through network steerage and utilization.

Maverest offers a broad national network designed specifically for use by insurance companies, self-funded employers, unions, third party claim administrators (TPA’s), and medical-only PPO’s. Owned and managed by a partnership of health care consultants and dentists, Maverest was originally formed as Indiana Dental Alliance in 1997, and its name was changed to Maverest Dental Alliance in 2001.

Our Philosophy

Maverest's philosophy differs in that we believe the long-term strength, and the quality of the network is built on the commitment and satisfaction of our participating dentists. Commitment and satisfaction is achieved by negotiating adequate reimbursement agreements (Maverest Dentist's Fee Schedule) and by continuing to adjust those fee schedules annually as dentists’ fixed costs escalate. We also make every effort to provide our participating dentists additional assistance whenever possible, such as access to financial and practice management tools at little or no cost.

As part of our commitment to balance and to a dentist-friendly design, we believe that a larger, more accessible network – created through higher reimbursement to participating dentists – works significantly better for patients, dentists, employers and insurance companies (the organizations that ultimately pay most of the cost). Higher fee schedules typically result in larger and more comprehensive networks. With larger networks members have better access to Maverest dentists and greater member satisfaction. Better access to our dentists results in higher utilization of these dentists by members. Higher utilization results in greater overall savings for both patient and sponsoring employer while maintaining reimbursement to participating dentists at profitable levels.
