Why should I select a participating dentist?

A participating network dentist has agreed to provide Maverest members with a discount for rendered services. When you elect to use a participating dentist for your dental care, the amount of money that you have to pay out of your pocket may be less.

How do I determine if my current dentist participates in Maverest?

The easiest way to locate any participating dentist is to use our online dentist search. Once you have entered the search simply enter your dentist’s information. If your dentist participates in Maverest then his or her name will appear on the results page. Should your dentist not be listed on the results page, Maverest encourages you to use our Nomination Form to nominate your dentist for participation in the network. Maverest will make every attempt to contact your dentist.

What if my dentist is not participating in the Maverest network?

If you would like to visit a particular dentist and he/she is not currently participating in Maverest, simply use our Nomination Form to nominate your dentist for participation. Once you have completed the form, please mail, fax, or email to:

Maverest will make every attempt to contract this dentist. The complete process (typically) takes between 60 and 90 days from first contact to fully enroll and credential a new dentist. To check the status of this nomination, visit this site, www.maverest.com, periodically.

How much can a member (insured individual) save by using a participating Maverest dentist?

Actual savings will depend on the type of dental benefit plan utilized by the employer, TPA or union. With most dental plans currently using the Maverest network, members typically save from 18% to 35% of the members’ out-of-pockets costs for co-payments and coinsurance. The savings percentage depends on the applicable Maverest Dentist Fee Schedule for the area and the dentist’s standard full fee for the same service/s.

How do I verify my dental benefits?

Contact your benefits administrator listed on your dental/medical ID card. If you are having trouble determining who your administrator is, please call Maverest at (888) 844-3517 a customer services representative will be more than happy to assist you locating the information.

What if my dental claim has been paid incorrectly?

If you are having issues with a claim please contact your Benefits Administrator (listed on your dental/medical ID) card for an explanation of the payment.
